Tibia Monk Class Revealed: New Vocation After 28 Years!

Alright, listen up, Tibia fans! You are NOT going to believe this. After, get this, 28 years, yes, you read that right, 28 YEARS, our beloved old-school MMO, Tibia, is finally getting a new class! Can you even imagine? For those of you who've been around the block a bit (or, you know, since '97), you know Tibia. The grandpa of MMORPGs. We're talking older than Everquest, RuneScape, even Ultima Online by a hair! Seriously ancient! And to really hammer home how old school we're talking, they just added sound in 2022. SOUND! After 25 years! But NOW? Now they're dropping a class bomb on us. A whole new vocation, as they call it in Tibia-land. It's called the Monk. Yep, Monk. For 28 years, we've had the Knight, Paladin, Druid, and Sorcerer. That's been it. But not for long! The Monk is coming in hot later this year. Okay, so what do we know about this Monk? Well, details are kinda scarce right now. No gameplay footage yet, sadly. But CipSoft, the folks behind Tibia, are saying it's all about melee combat mixed with "mystical powers." Sounds intriguing? Adding a new class was something they thought about for ages, but it always seemed "too complex," "too risky." But Niadus, the project manager (that's all we know, just Niadus!), said they finally realized, "Hey, this is actually possible, and it feels like the right move." And honestly? I get it. Think about it. A new class after all this time? It's like hitting the reset button on that feeling of exploration, that "what's around the next corner?" vibe that Tibia was always so good at. Learning a new class, figuring out new builds, new team strategies... it's gonna be fun and wild. Mark your calendars! First playtests kicks off on February 25th. Full release? Sometime in the second quarter of 2025. Not too far off! Get ready to dust off those old Tibia accounts, or maybe even roll a fresh character. This is gonna be interesting.
