Okay, PlayStation peeps, heads up – PSN is still down. Yeah, seriously. Been MIA since Friday night, and we're pushing 15 hours now? That's a proper long time for a major gaming network to be AWOL, right? Thing is, Sony's gone kinda quiet on us. Radio silence, pretty much. All we got was a tweet from the AskPlaystation account ages ago, like 18 hours ago, just saying "yeah, we know, check the status page." And... crickets since then. Everything's busted too, not just games. Account stuff, social features, the PlayStation Store – all marked as down on Sony's status page. Downdetector's blowing up with reports too, hitting almost 70,000 last night. Ouch. Gamers are not happy, as you can imagine. Reddit's going nuts, threads with thousands of comments, "PlayStation network down" trending all day. It's even hitting mainstream news now – NBC, BBC, AP, everyone's picking up on it. This ain't your usual five-minute hiccup, folks. Remember that outage last October? That was bad enough at eight hours. And that partial one in May? Less than five. This? This is feeling different. Of course, nothing beats the granddaddy of PSN disasters – the 23-day (!) meltdown back in 2011. Hackers, data breach, the whole shebang. This one seems different, hopefully not a repeat of that mess. But still, the silence from Sony is kinda deafening, isn't it? Everyone's just waiting for Sony to throw us a bone here, give us some idea what's going on and when we can get back online. Fingers crossed it's soon. Weekend gaming is on hold for a lot of us right now.
