Essential Weapon Maintenance in STALKER 2: A Survivor's Guide

Keep Your Guns Firing: A No-Nonsense STALKER 2 Weapon Guide
Picture this: You're face-to-face with a mutant, pull the trigger, and... click.
We've all been there. Nothing ruins your day in the Zone quite like a jammed weapon. As someone who's spent way too many hours getting killed in STALKER 2 (thanks, wild dogs), I've learned a thing or two about keeping my guns in working order.
Here's what you really need to know:
The Cold, Hard Truth About Looted Guns Found a sweet assault rifle on a dead enemy? Don't get too excited. Most weapons you'll find are beat up worse than my old Toyota. Watch for those yellow and red warning symbols - they're telling you that gun's about to become a very expensive club.
Meet Your New Best Friend: The Technician In every safe zone, you'll find a Technician who can fix your weapons. The first one's called Lens, hanging out in Zalissya. Fair warning: these folks don't work for free. Save your coupons for the guns you actually plan to keep.
Making Good Guns Better Starting out, your weapons will be pretty basic. No fancy scopes, no suppressors, no fun stuff. While you might get lucky and find attachments during your adventures (I once found a great scope in an abandoned building), you'll usually need to buy the good stuff.
Pro tip: Not all attachments fit all guns. Found out the hard way when I tried to put a high-end suppressor on my starter pistol. To check compatibility:
Taking It To The Next Level Once you've got a working gun with some decent attachments, it's time for the fun part - upgrades. Head back to the Technician with a fat stack of coupons. You can upgrade pretty much everything:
Want faster aim? Tighter spread? More punch? You can build exactly the gun you need. Trust me - when those wild dogs come running (and they will), you'll be glad you invested in better gear.
Just remember: in the Zone, a well-maintained weapon isn't just nice to have. It's the difference between making it back to camp with your loot or becoming another cautionary tale.
