Pokemon GO's Community Day ticket prices have seen a hike for the January event. If you're eager to snag that Shiny Sprigatito, be prepared to shell out more cash. Each month, players dive into Community Day, where a specific Pokemon shines and can be caught in its Shiny variant.
This January, Sprigatito takes the spotlight, but getting your hands on this adorable grass-type will now cost you $2, double the previous $1 ticket price. While the ticket does come with a new battle pass reward, it's worth noting that these passes are often available in cheaper bundles.
Niantic, the game's developer, has also introduced other changes for Community Day, though they mentioned that these might not stick around for long. According to their blog, players can expect new free Timed Research, paid Special Research, and unique Field Research as they hunt for the featured Pokemon during the event titled "Pokemon GO: Dual Destiny."
The January Community Day is set for Sunday, January 5, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, and for more details on catching Sprigatito and other upcoming events, be sure to check out the guide for Pokemon Go's January 2025 happenings.
