EA plans several games for Nintendo Switch 2
EA plans to bring more of their game series to Nintendo Switch 2. This was confirmed by CEO Andrew Wilson this week.
In a Q&A session with investors (via Eurogamer), Wilson suggested that at least various sports games and The Sims will be available on Nintendo's next home console.
"Our expectation is that products like EA Sports FC and Madden and others can perform well on the platform, as they have done before. When you think about something like The Sims and MySims: Cozy Bundle, which performed far better than we expected, half of all players were completely new EA users. This represents a huge opportunity for us," Wilson said.
When Nintendo launched the first Switch in 2017, EA was long hesitant to really commit to the hybrid console. This changed only three years later, but this time it appears the company is ready to commit from day one.
Whether this means we'll get major releases like Dragon Age: The Veilguard or the next Battlefield game remains to be seen. Switch 2 has not yet received an official release date, but we'll likely learn this when Nintendo showcases it again in April.
