Age of Mythology and Age of Empires II remakes coming to PlayStation 5 With new expansion for Age of Mythology: Retold.
Xbox has seriously stepped up its plan to release games on other platforms. Last week, the company revealed that Forza Horizon 5 was coming to PlayStation 5, and now it's Age of Empires' turn. The remakes of both Age of Empires II and Age of Mythology are arriving on Sony's console this spring, Microsoft and developer World's Edge confirmed this week. It starts with Age of Mythology: Retold. The PlayStation 5 launch is set for March 4th, and promises cross-platform play across all platforms. On the same day, a brand new expansion for the game will also be released. The expansion – called Immortal Pillars – features, among other things, a new campaign, several new gods, mythical units, and seven new maps. This and all future updates for Age of Mythology: Retold will be released simultaneously on all platforms. World's Edge only states that it will be during spring, also with cross-platform play and with a brand new expansion for the game.
